WordPress maintenance plans
Do you have the time and technical expertise to ensure your website’s success?
Juggling software, servers and security can be stressful. With our maintenance plans, we can do it all for you.

Why does my website need a WordPress care plan?
You’ve invested time, effort, and money into developing your website. It’s too important to let it go to waste.

1. Too much to think about
To make your website successful, you’ll need to:
- Set up and operate a web server
- Keep up with the latest technology
- Keep track of many 3rd party software bills
- Adopt strict security measures to keep your data safe
- Update your content
- Manage updates and licences
2. Dedicated support
Can you imagine running into a problem with your website and needing it fixed as soon as possible?
The gem of a maintenance plan is having a team that cares. You’ll always have someone to help you when you need the most.

3. Protect your investment
Did you know that more than 50,000 websites get hacked each day and 90% of all those websites are WordPress?
A website can be hacked and visitors redirected to another site without the website owner being aware of the problem. Even worse, if a site is hacked or infected with malware, its organic ranks and traffic may vanish.
4. Safeguard your revenue
Just consider this for a moment:
- What would you do if your website went offline for a week or longer?
- How much would it cost you to rebuild your website?
- How much of your revenue would you lose if your site went down?
- How much revenue would you lose if you lost your organic rankings because your site was blacklisted?

5. Be on top of Google
Imagine waking up one morning, checking your Google rankings, and seeing that your site has disappeared from the #1 page.
This is highly likely to happen to you at some point, and you’ll need to know how to deal with it. Regularly checking and monitoring your site will guarantee that it is current and free of critical issues that could hurt your Google results.
Does all that technical work make you a little nervous?
You’re not alone. Like many of our clients, a lack of time or skills can be limiting. Let us take the weight off your shoulders so you can focus on growing your business.
Our WordPress maintenance packages have got it all
Your website troubles will be gone for good for less than a cup of your daily coffee.

Monitoring the performance of your website gives you insight into what's going on with it and how it's doing. It's the first step toward resolving any issues.
Every month we prepare and send you a report so you can know exactly what’s been done, and how your website is performing.
What's included in the report will depend on which plan you are in. Regardless, you will always be informed.
Your requests will be a priority to us. We will respond to you in up to 24h.

Do you need regular help with your website?
If you want us to do your content updates or develop new pages and functionalities an hourly retainer can help.

Hourly retainer packages
How do they work?
- You pre-purchase a package of hours in advance and receive a discounted hourly cost.
- You send a support request by email and we get to work.
- Once we are finished, we deduct the time from your total.
Getting charged by the minute means you won’t pay for an entire hour of work just to make minor changes to your website. In addition, everything stays under just one invoice, saving time and accounting costs.
WordPress care plan FAQs
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions concerning our WordPress maintenance plans.
Even if you are not making significant changes to the front-end of your website, a lot happens on the back end to keep it functioning properly.
New updates can break your design, hackers will have it easy to get on your website, and with time the overall speed/performance of your site will decrease significantly. Just like a car, any website needs to be properly maintained on a regular basis.
A maintenance plan ensures that all of the above is covered, kept up to date and properly optimised, ensuring that your site runs smoothly and is secure.
Yes, but there will be a minimum £100 charge per request and we won’t be able to give you priority support, which is reserved for care plan clients.
Payments are automated and taken monthly by credit or debit card. We currently use Stripe subscriptions as our payment option.
While every precaution is taken to keep websites safe and secure, nothing you can do to a website will make it 100% safe and secure in the long run.
If your website gets hacked, we will repair it at no additional cost.
Please note that if your website is not hosted by us, backup restoration is not covered by our maintenance plans, and we will need to contact your hosting company to assist you with the problem. This will be charged at our hourly rate. We would encourage you to check with your hosting company to ensure that you have enough security in place.
It is not rare that updates may break a page layout or even your entire site.
If this happens we will do the fixes at no additional cost.
We do not include, however, fixing bugs and breaks caused due to updates from a third party to the site.
YES.
Just kidding. You don’t have to sign a long-term contract and can cancel at any moment.
If you want to cancel your plan, you only need to provide us 30 days’ notice. This way we can set up your site and migrate it to the hosting service of your choosing and tell you which premium licences to purchase.
Please note that larger or more complex sites may incur additional fees for maintenance. We will notify you if your site is likely to incur additional charges.
If you choose to cancel your plan for any reason, please notify us and give us 30 days’ notice so that we can set you up with a hosting provider of your choosing, advise you on which software premium licences to purchase, and ensure that your website is properly equipped.
Please keep in mind that your final payment will be due after your 30-day notice period, so when you give notice, you will have to make another final payment. And if you want to continue your plan at any point, we’ll be happy to assist you.
You will lose access to our licence to use the plugin, but you can continue to run the premium plugins by purchasing them yourself.
We’re afraid we won’t be able to continue servicing websites that aren’t covered by our website maintenance subscriptions.
Yes, you have the option to upgrade at any moment.
We expect that your company will grow, and we will offer you the tools you need to help your website expand as well.
You do not have to, however, the best approach for us to ensure that your website is well-maintained is to put it on a server that we manage. We’ve encountered far too many clients who have put their websites on the improper hosting, which has hurt their websites and added extra costs in the long run.
When it comes to WordPress hosting, we only use the best because we understand how crucial it is. This is something that is frequently overlooked.
Additionally, if you decide to use your own hosting provider, several of the “security” and “hosting” services we provide would no longer be available, and would need to be dealt with by your hosting provider. We can still do this for you, but as part of our standard hourly rate.
No. It’s an optional part of the support plan.
We are available every day of the week and will reply within your designated time, 48 or 24 hours, depending on your maintenance plan.
Please send us your request to our support email: support@solidwebdesign.co.uk
Of course. We can discuss discounts and customised support packages if you have many sites, or if for example, you have one large site and another smaller one.
Yes we do. We understand your website care requirements may slightly differ to the ones offered due to the nature of your business.
If this is the case, please contact us and we will put together a tailored plan for you.
Absolutely! We love to assist WordPress website owners in keeping their sites safe, secure, and up to date.
But before we can accept your website into one of our Care Plans, we’ll need to conduct an audit. The audit costs £150 and includes two hours of time to tackle any website issues that need to be addressed before we can add you to a plan.
